Cheesy Baked Scallops

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces scallops
  • 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
  • 2 teaspoons chopped onions
  • 1 -2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon chopped parsley
  • 1/4 cup gruyere or 1/4 cup a mild cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • season salt and pepper

Method

  1. Set your oven to heat to 350 degrees.
  2. Begin by preparing the topping.
  3. Melt the butter in a small saucepan.
  4. Cook the garlic, onions, parsley, salt, and pepper on low heat for 4 minutes. Stir in the breadcrumbs until combined, then set this mixture aside.
  5. Heat the olive oil in a large sauté pan, then cook the onions and garlic for 2 minutes.
  6. Arrange the scallops in a baking dish. Pour the heavy cream and white wine over them. Scatter the prepared breadcrumb mixture evenly on top.
