Cheesy Bacon Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 bacon, pieces (1/4 cup fried crisp and crumbled)
  • 2 tablespoons minced onions
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

Method

  1. Set your oven to heat to 350°F.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, crumbled bacon, minced onions, and ground black pepper.
  3. Take the crescent dinner rolls and separate them into two rectangles, pressing the seams together. Spread an equal portion of the cheese mixture onto each rectangle. Starting from the longest side, roll each rectangle up tightly and seal the edge. Slice each roll into 16 pieces. Arrange the slices with the cut side facing down on a baking sheet.
  4. Place in the oven and bake for 15 minutes or until the pastry turns a golden-brown colour. Serve while still warm.
