Cheesy Artichoke Squares

Ingredients

  • 2 (10 ounce) jars marinated artichokes
  • 1 onion, small, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cups old cheddar cheese, grated
  • 6 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 2 teaspoons Tabasco sauce

Method

  1. Heat your oven to 350°.
  2. Drain the liquid from one jar of artichokes into a frying pan.
  3. Cook the chopped onion and garlic in the artichoke liquid until softened, then allow to cool.
  4. Chop all the artichokes and combine them with the cooled onion and garlic.
  5. Mix the artichoke blend with breadcrumbs, grated cheese, beaten eggs, salt, white pepper, parsley, oregano, basil, thyme, rosemary and Tabasco sauce until thoroughly combined.
  6. Transfer the combined mixture into a greased 8x8-inch or 9x9-inch baking pan.
  7. Place in the 350° oven and bake for 40 minutes.
  8. Allow to stand for 5 minutes before slicing into squares to serve.
