Cheese & Chutney Tostados
These simple tostados are a fantastic way to use leftover turkey or ham. Flour tortillas are brushed with oil, topped with mango chutney, meat, grated cheddar, and spring onions, then baked until crisp. They make a perfect hot snack, lunch, or starter for two, ready in about 20 minutes.
Ingredients
- 2small flour tortillas about 20cm
- dash of olive oil
- 2 heaped tbsp mango chutney (we like Geeta’s Premium with whole spices)
- 100g cooked turkey or ham torn into strips
- 100g cheddar grated
- 2 spring onions chopped
Method
- Set your oven to fan 180C/conventional 200C/gas 6.
- Lightly coat the flour tortillas with the olive oil.
- Place the tortillas oil side down onto a large baking tray.
- Evenly spread the mango chutney over each tortilla.
- Scatter the torn turkey or ham, grated cheddar, and chopped spring onions on top.
- Bake the assembled tostados for 8 minutes.
- Slice the baked tostados into wedges and serve immediately while hot and crispy.
