Caramel Rolls
These caramel rolls offer a wonderfully simple way to create a sweet, sticky treat. Using thawed frozen bread dough as a base, they are topped with a rich mixture of butter, ice cream, and sugars before baking. Ingredients
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 loaves frozen bread dough, thawed but don't let it rise
Method
- Combine the butter and vanilla ice cream in a pan and melt them together.
- Stir the brown sugar, white sugar, and cinnamon into the melted mixture until well combined.
- Place pieces of the thawed bread dough into a greased 9x13 cake pan. Pour the prepared sugar and ice cream mixture evenly over the dough.
- Allow the dough to rise. Afterwards, bake in an oven preheated to 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
