Brown Sugar Pepper Salmon

Ingredients

  • 2 individually frozen salmon fillets (or 2 cuts of fresh salmon)
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Method

  1. Set your oven to heat to 400°F.
  2. If using frozen fillets, thaw the salmon. Rinse it under cold water and use a paper towel to pat it completely dry. Arrange the dried fillets in a baking dish that has been lightly greased.
  3. Take a small bowl and mix together the brown sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, fresh ground black pepper, and dried dill.
  4. Use a brush to coat the top of each salmon fillet with the melted butter. Generously sprinkle the prepared brown sugar and pepper mixture over the buttered tops to cover them.
  5. Place the dish in the oven and bake for 18-20 minutes. The salmon is ready when it flakes easily when tested with a fork.
