Broccoli and Peas with Sesame Seeds, Soy and Honey

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds lightly toasted
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds
  • 1 head of broccoli cut into florets
  • 100g frozen peas
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp clear honey
  • 1/4 tsp sesame oil

Method

  1. Combine the soy sauce, clear honey and sesame oil in a small bowl to create the dressing. In another dish, mix together the lightly toasted sesame seeds and the poppy seeds. Bring a pan of water to the boil and cook the broccoli florets and frozen peas for 2 mins, then drain them thoroughly.
  2. Return the drained broccoli and peas to the warm pan. Pour half of the prepared dressing and half of the seed mixture over the vegetables. Shake the pan for a few secs to coat everything evenly. Transfer to a serving dish and finish by sprinkling over the remaining dressing and seeds.
