Bow Tie Pasta Bake
This simple Italian pasta bake delivers maximum flavour with minimal effort. Farfalle pasta is coated in a jar of spaghetti sauce enhanced with a packet of dry Italian salad dressing mix, then topped with shredded mozzarella cheese and baked. Ingredients
- 8 ounces uncooked bow tie pasta
- 1 (26 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
- 1 (2/3 ounce) envelope Italian salad dressing mix
- 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
Method
- Cook the bow tie pasta according to package directions, then drain it well.
- Take a mixing bowl and stir together the jar of spaghetti sauce and the envelope of Italian salad dressing mix.
- Add the drained pasta to the sauce mixture and toss until it is evenly coated.
- Pour the sauced pasta into a greased, shallow 2-quart baking dish.
- Cover the top of the pasta evenly with all of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Place the dish, uncovered, into an oven preheated to 400 degrees and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bake is hot throughout.
