Ingredients

  • 250g basmati rice
  • 2 x 400g cans black bean drained and rinsed

Method

  1. Place the basmati rice into a large saucepan that has a lid.
  2. Cover the rice with a generous amount of water and bring it to a boil, cooking for about 8 mins until it is al dente.
  3. Drain the cooked rice and return it to the same pan.
  4. Add the drained and rinsed black beans to the pan and stir them into the rice.
