Black Beans & Rice
This straightforward Brazilian side dish combines just two key ingredients. Fluffy basmati rice is cooked until al dente, then mixed with rinsed black beans and warmed through. - 250g basmati rice
- 2 x 400g cans black bean drained and rinsed
Method
- Place the basmati rice into a large saucepan that has a lid.
- Cover the rice with a generous amount of water and bring it to a boil, cooking for about 8 mins until it is al dente.
- Drain the cooked rice and return it to the same pan.
- Add the drained and rinsed black beans to the pan and stir them into the rice.
