Barbecue Shrimp
This is a wonderfully simple yet flavour-packed shrimp dish. Jumbo shrimp are baked in a rich, spicy sauce made with butter, Worcestershire, garlic, and Creole seasoning. It creates a deliciously messy meal that is best enjoyed with plenty of hot bread to mop up every last bit of the sauce. Ideal for a quick and satisfying dinner for two.
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 lbs fresh jumbo shrimp, unpeeled
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, sliced
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon creole seasoning (I use Tony Chachere's)
- 1 tablespoon fresh coarse ground black pepper
- 1 lemon, cut into 4 wedges
- hot French bread
Method
- Combine all the listed ingredients in a skillet that is safe for the oven.
- Place the skillet in an oven preheated to 450° and bake for 10 minutes, until the shrimp are pink and cooked.
- Present the shrimp immediately with hot French bread on the side for dipping.
