This is a homemade version of a popular restaurant sauce. It's a creamy, spicy, and slightly sweet condiment made by blending mayonnaise with sriracha, vinegar, and other flavourings. The recipe suggests using it to top oven-fried shrimp coated in coconut, but it also works wonderfully with chicken. It takes only about 10 minutes to prepare from start to finish.

Bang Bang Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons siracha hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 4 slices red peppers
  • 2 single serving packets Truvia
  • 1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum
  • 1/2 teaspoon anchovy paste
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce

Method

  1. Combine every listed ingredient in a blender.
  2. Process the mixture until it becomes completely smooth.
  3. Drizzle the finished sauce over prepared shrimp or chicken as suggested.
