Bang Bang Sauce
This is a homemade version of a popular restaurant sauce. It's a creamy, spicy, and slightly sweet condiment made by blending mayonnaise with sriracha, vinegar, and other flavourings. The recipe suggests using it to top oven-fried shrimp coated in coconut, but it also works wonderfully with chicken. It takes only about 10 minutes to prepare from start to finish.
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 tablespoons siracha hot sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
- 4 slices red peppers
- 2 single serving packets Truvia
- 1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum
- 1/2 teaspoon anchovy paste
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
Method
- Combine every listed ingredient in a blender.
- Process the mixture until it becomes completely smooth.
- Drizzle the finished sauce over prepared shrimp or chicken as suggested.
