5 Minute Brown Butter Chicken and Crispy Sage

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup fresh sage leaf
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons butter

Method

  1. Slice the chicken breast into one-inch cubes, season well with salt and pepper, and toss to ensure an even coating.
  2. Place the butter in a large nonstick skillet and melt it. Once the butter has browned and become aromatic, add the chicken pieces in one layer and scatter the sage leaves over the top.
  3. Set a timer for five minutes. Allow the chicken to cook undisturbed for 2 minutes and 30 seconds until it develops a golden colour. Stir everything together, coating the chicken and sage in the brown butter, then turn the chicken pieces over and cook for the remaining time.
