This simple Mexican salad requires only five ingredients for a creamy, flavourful result. Imitation crabmeat is combined with sautéed onion and green pepper, then folded with mayonnaise to create a versatile spread. Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 0.5 green bell pepper, chopped
- 12 ounces imitation crabmeat
- 1 cup mayonnaise
Method
- Place the butter in a medium skillet and melt it. Add the chopped onion and green bell pepper, cooking until tender for about 3 minutes. Mix in the imitation crabmeat and continue to cook for 3 minutes more.
- Move the crabmeat mixture from the skillet into a medium bowl. Gently fold the mayonnaise into the mixture until it is thoroughly combined. This salad can be served either warm or cold.
