5-Ingredient Brownies
These rich and fudgy brownies require just five key ingredients and are cooked in an air fryer. The batter comes together quickly with melted chocolate and butter, then bakes to perfection. They are wonderfully simple to prepare and deliver a deeply satisfying chocolate treat every time. Allow them to cool before slicing into squares for serving. This recipe yields six portions.
Ingredients
- vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Method
- Use vegetable oil to grease a 7-inch square baking pan thoroughly.
- Place the butter and chocolate chips in a bowl safe for the microwave. Heat on high for 1 minute. Stir the mixture vigorously. The residual heat should melt any remaining pieces. Only microwave for another 10 seconds if needed, ensuring you stir well first.
- Whisk the eggs, sugar and vanilla extract together in a medium bowl until the mixture becomes light and frothy. Keep whisking as you gradually pour the melted chocolate into the bowl in a thin stream, mixing until fully combined.
- Transfer the batter into the oiled pan. Position the pan inside the air-fryer basket. Cook at 350°F for 25 minutes, checking if a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
- Place the pan on a wire rack and let the brownies cool for 30 minutes. Afterwards, cut them into squares.
