Madras Curry Drumsticks

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt, fat free
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice, fresh
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder, preferably Madras
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated fresh
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 8 (1/4 lb) chicken drumsticks
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

Method

  1. Place the first seven ingredients into a zip lock bag and mix them together.
  2. Put the chicken drumsticks into the bag, seal it, and turn to coat them evenly in the marinade.
  3. Let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for a minimum of 30 minutes or up to overnight.
