4 Layer Cream Cheese Pudding Dessert
This delightful dessert is wonderfully simple to prepare. It features four distinct layers, starting with a baked nut and flour crust. A creamy blend of cheese and sugar forms the second layer, followed by a smooth instant pudding. Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup nuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup margarine, softened
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 (8 ounce) container Cool Whip, divided
- 2 (3 1/2 ounce) packages instant pudding mix (any flavor is fine)
- 3 cups milk
- toasted coconut, to sprinkle (optional)
Method
- Set your oven to 350° to preheat.
- Mix together the flour, chopped nuts and softened margarine.
- Press this mixture firmly into a 13x9-inch baking pan.
- Bake the crust for 10-15 minutes.
- As the crust cools, blend the cream cheese, powdered sugar and one cup of Cool Whip.
- Spread this creamy mixture over the cooled first layer.
- Whisk the instant pudding mix with the milk, then pour it over the creamy layer.
- Place the dessert in the refrigerator to chill.
- Top with the remaining Cool Whip, spreading it evenly.
- If desired, finish with a sprinkle of toasted coconut.
