Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup Cool Whip
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 (6 ounce) boxes instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 5 cups milk
  • 16 ounces Cool Whip
  • 8 frozen Heath candy bars, broken into very small pieces
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans

Method

  1. Combine the butter, flour, and half a cup of pecans. Press this mixture into the base of a 9x13 dish. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes, then let it cool fully.
  2. Blend the cream cheese with one cup of Cool Whip, the powdered sugar, and vanilla. Spread this evenly over the cooled first layer.
  3. Whisk the instant chocolate pudding mixes with five cups of milk until the mixture thickens. Pour and spread this over the second layer.
  4. Gently fold the 16 ounces of Cool Whip with the broken Heath bar pieces and the remaining half cup of pecans. Spread this final layer on top. Place the dessert in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve it.
