Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey, browned in nonstick skillet and drained
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 6 ounces low-sodium tomato paste (1 can)
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 12 ounces chili beans, undrained
- 12 ounces kidney beans, undrained
- 12 ounces black beans, undrained
- 12 ounces pinto beans, undrained
- 12 ounces low-sodium tomatoes, with juice
Method
- Place the browned and drained ground turkey into your slow cooker.
- Add the chopped onion and the can of tomato paste to the cooker.
- Stir in the chilli powder, all the undrained beans, and the tomatoes with their juice, mixing everything thoroughly.
- Put the lid on the slow cooker and let it cook on the Low setting for 6-7 hours.
- If you like, you can offer grated low-fat cheddar cheese to serve alongside the chilli.
