3-Step Pork Chops with Mushroom Gravy
This wonderfully flavourful pork chop dish is surprisingly simple to prepare, requiring just three steps. Brown the chops, mix a creamy mushroom gravy, and bake until perfectly tender. It's a great family meal that can be oven-ready in under five minutes. Serve it over fluffy mashed potatoes or rice, or accompany it with fresh green beans or asparagus for a complete dinner.
Ingredients
- 6 pork chops, bone-in
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 (10 1/2 ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup
- 1 1/4 cups milk (1 soup can)
- 2/3 cup water (1/2 soup can)
- 1/8-1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or 1/8-1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- salt and pepper, to taste
Method
- Brown the bone-in pork chops in the oil, then transfer them to a large baking dish or roaster.
- Combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, water, garlic or onion powder, and salt and pepper in a large bowl, then pour this mixture over the pork chops.
- Cover the dish and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 to 1 1/2 hrs until the pork is tender.
