The aromatic liquid, made with apple cider vinegar, sugar, and three warm spices, is poured over cooked, sliced beets in sterilised jars. It is designed for home canning, with guidance provided for processing the filled jars to ensure a proper seal and long-term storage. The recipe yields enough brine for approximately six pint jars.
