3-Ingredient Taquero-Style Guacamole
This version of guacamole is inspired by taquerias, resulting in a smooth, pourable sauce rather than a chunky dip. It combines ripe avocado with fresh cilantro and serrano chilli, blended with water until creamy. The simple, spicy result is an ideal topping for a variety of Mexican dishes, adding a fresh and creamy element.
Ingredients
- 1 ripe Hass avocado (7-9 ounces; 200-250 g), halved, pitted, and flesh scooped
- 1/4 cup cilantro leaves and tender stems (about 10 g), washed and dried
- 1 serrano chile (about 8 g), seeded if desired to reduce spiciness (see notes)
- 1 cup (240 ml) water
- 1 teaspoon Diamond Crystal kosher salt, plus more to taste
Method
- Place the avocado flesh, cilantro, serrano chilli, water, and 1 teaspoon of salt into a blender.
- Blend the mixture until it achieves a completely smooth consistency.
- Taste the guacamole and adjust the seasoning with more salt if required.
- Serve immediately.
