Oreo Cups
These delightful frozen treats require only three components and are perfect for a crowd. A buttery crushed biscuit base forms a cup, which is filled with softened vanilla ice cream mixed with cookie pieces. After a final sprinkle of crumbs, they are frozen until solid, ready to be enjoyed. The whole process is straightforward, yielding 12 individual desserts with minimal effort.
Ingredients
- 23 to 24 chocolate sandwich cookies
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 pint good-quality vanilla ice cream, slightly softened
Method
- Finely crush 15 of the chocolate sandwich cookies. Combine these crumbs with the melted butter. Press the mixture into the cups of a 12-cup muffin pan.
- Break 6 more cookies into chunks. Stir the softened vanilla ice cream together with these cookie pieces. Divide the ice cream mixture between the prepared cups. Crush the final 2 to 3 cookies and sprinkle the crumbs over the top.
- Place the pan in the freezer until the cups are firm. Once set, remove them from the muffin pan and transfer to airtight containers or bags for storage.
