Japanese Potsticker Dip
This is a traditional Japanese sauce for dipping potstickers, distinct from Chinese versions. It requires only three pantry staples and comes together instantly. Simply combine soy sauce and rice vinegar, then add a touch of chilli oil for a savoury, tangy, and lightly spicy condiment that perfectly complements dumplings.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 0.25 teaspoon chili oil, or to taste
Method
- Take a small bowl or ramekin.
- Mix the soy sauce and rice vinegar together in it.
- Add the chilli oil, adjusting the quantity to your preference.
- Give everything a final stir, ideally using chopsticks.
- The dip is now ready to use with your potstickers.
