20-Second Peanut Butter Chunk Ice Cream
This quick and simple ice cream recipe uses frozen bananas as its creamy base. With just a few ingredients, you can create a rich, peanut butter-studded dessert in your food processor. The mixture can be enjoyed immediately as soft serve or frozen for a firmer texture. Optional toppings like candy sprinkles add a festive finish. The recipe also includes several flavour variations for inspiration.
Ingredients
- 4 ripe bananas, chopped into rough chunks and frozen
- 5 tablespoons crunchy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- candy sprinkles, for topping (optional)
Method
- Place the almond milk into your food processor, then add the frozen banana chunks and two tablespoons of the crunchy peanut butter. Process the mixture until it becomes completely smooth.
- Add the remaining three tablespoons of peanut butter to the processor. Pulse the machine just once or twice to mix it in, being careful not to blend it fully.
- Spoon the ice cream mixture into a loaf pan. Cover the pan tightly with plastic wrap.
- Place the covered pan in the freezer. Allow it to freeze until solid, which will take at least 8 hours or overnight. For a soft serve texture, you can serve it right away.
