20 Minute Creamy Pesto Chicken and Bow Ties

Ingredients

  • 3 cups bow tie pasta, uncooked
  • 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 -1 1/4 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, cubed
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup prepared pesto sauce (I use Classico Basil Pesto Sauce)
  • 1/2 cup milk

Method

  1. Bring a pot of water to the boil and cook the bow tie pasta according to the packet directions, then drain it.
  2. While the pasta cooks, melt the butter or margarine in a large skillet and cook the cubed chicken pieces until they are browned all over.
  3. Pour the cream of chicken soup, pesto sauce and milk into the skillet with the chicken. Stir well and bring the mixture to a boil, then let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the drained pasta to the skillet, stirring to coat it thoroughly in the sauce, and warm everything through before serving.
