20-Minute Apple Dutch Baby

⏱ 20 mins 🍽 4 serving(s) 🏷 Breakfast

This speedy apple Dutch baby is a fantastic choice for a fast breakfast or snack. It's a recipe fondly remembered from making for younger siblings before school. You'll need just a handful of basic ingredients, including apples, eggs, flour, and milk. The batter comes together quickly in a blender before baking in a hot oven. In about 20 minutes, you'll have a warm, lightly browned pancake that's best enjoyed straight from the oven.

20-Minute Apple Dutch Baby

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 apple, cored and chopped
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup milk

Method

  1. Heat your oven to 425 degrees. Put the butter, cinnamon, and sugar into a 9-inch cake pan. Place the pan in the oven while you get the remaining ingredients ready. Prepare the apple by coring and chopping it, then add it to the pan with the butter mixture. Give it a swirl and put the pan back in the oven.
  2. Combine the eggs and flour in a blender or food processor, blending until the mixture is smooth. Add the milk to the blender and blend once more until everything is incorporated.
  3. Take the pan out of the oven and carefully pour the batter over the apple mixture. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes or until the pancake is set and has a light golden colour. Serve it straight away.
