2-Ingredient Dog Treats
These homemade dog biscuits require only two pantry staples: whole wheat flour and a jar of carrot baby food. They come together quickly by hand to form a stiff dough, which is then rolled out, cut into shapes, and baked. The treats are left in the turned-off oven to finish crisping, resulting in a batch of 38 wholesome snacks your dog will love.
Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 (4.5 ounce) jar carrot baby food
Method
- Set your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Prepare two baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.
- Combine the whole wheat flour and carrot baby food in a medium bowl, mixing by hand until a stiff dough forms. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface. Using a floured rolling pin, roll the dough out to a 1/8 inch thickness. Cut it into your chosen shapes and arrange them on the baking sheets, spacing them 1/2 inch apart.
- Place the baking sheets in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes. After this time, switch the oven off but leave the treats inside for a further 30 minutes. Finally, take them out and let them cool completely on wire racks.
