15 Minute Smoked Sausage Jambalaya

Ingredients

  • 1 cup instant rice
  • 1 lb hillshire farm smoked sausage or 1 lb polska kielbasa, cut into 2 in. pieces
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped green peppers
  • 1/2 cup sliced celery
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomatoes
  • 4 drops hot pepper sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Pam cooking spray, butter favor

Method

  1. Prepare the instant rice following the instructions on its packet.
  2. As the rice cooks, apply a coating of butter flavour Pam to a large skillet as directed on the can.
  3. Place the skillet on the heat. Introduce the sausage pieces, chopped onion, green pepper, and celery. Saute the contents until the vegetables have softened.
  4. Mix in the canned tomatoes, hot pepper sauce, and ground pepper. Drain the cooked rice and fold it into the sausage and vegetable mixture.
