15-minute Jello Trifle
This speedy trifle is a crowd-pleasing dessert that comes together in moments. Cubes of pound cake are lightly moistened, then layered with a creamy vanilla pudding blend, sweetened strawberries and grated white chocolate. The assembled dessert requires a short chilling period before serving, making it an ideal choice for effortless entertaining. It yields eight generous portions.
Ingredients
- 1/2 frozen pound cake, cut in cubes
- 1/4 cup orange liqueur or 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 container Cool Whip Topping, thawed
- 1 package Jello Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix, prepared (4 servings)
- 2 1/2 cups sliced strawberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 6 baker's white chocolate baking squares, grated
- 1 whole strawberry (for garnish)
Method
- Drizzle the liqueur or orange juice over the cubed pound cake.
- Gently fold half a cup of the thawed whipped topping into the prepared vanilla pudding.
- Toss the sliced strawberries with the sugar.
- In a deep glass bowl, create the first layer using half of the cake cubes, followed by half of the pudding mixture, half of the strawberries and half of the grated chocolate.
- Build a second identical layer with the remaining ingredients, finishing with the last of the grated chocolate.
- Spread the remaining whipped topping over the top and decorate with a whole strawberry.
- Place the trifle in the refrigerator to chill before serving.
