Ingredients

  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 cup Bulgar wheat
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • plain yogurt (optional)

Method

  1. Place the bulgur wheat in a bowl and cover it with hot tap water. Allow it to soak for 10 minutes before draining.
  2. While the bulgur soaks, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, salt, and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl. Add the drained bulgur wheat and mix everything together using your hands until well combined.
  3. Use a little oil to lightly grease a baking sheet.
  4. Form the meat mixture into patties using a 1/3 cup measure for each portion. Arrange the patties on the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes until they are fully cooked.
