This speedy Italian main course delivers a garlicky, cheesy pizza without any tomato sauce. Using a prepared thin crust base, it's topped with a blend of mozzarella, provolone and Parmigiano Reggiano, along with sliced artichoke hearts. It bakes in a very hot oven for a mere 6 to 8 minutes, resulting in a bubbling, golden finish garnished with fresh parsley and cut into bite-sized squares for serving. Perfect for a fast, flavourful meal.

10-Minute White Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 package thin crust prepared pizza shell or prepared focaccia, 450g
  • Extra-virgin olive oil, for drizzling
  • 3 large cloves garlic, minced
  • 100g shredded mozzarella
  • 100g shredded provolone
  • 25g grated Parmigiano Reggiano or Romano
  • 1 (425g) tin artichoke hearts in water, drained and thinly sliced
  • 10g chopped parsley

Method

  1. Set your oven to 260 degrees C/Gas 10 to preheat.
  2. Place the prepared pizza shell or focaccia on a suitable pizza pan or baking tray. Drizzle it with olive oil and distribute the minced garlic evenly across the surface, reaching the edges.
  3. Combine the three cheeses and spread this mixture over the base, ensuring it covers the shell completely to the edges.
  4. Arrange the thinly sliced artichoke hearts on top of the cheese layer.
  5. Bake for 6 to 8 mins, until the cheeses have fully melted and are bubbling.
  6. Take the pizza from the oven, scatter the chopped parsley over it as a garnish, then slice into bite-size squares using a pizza wheel or knife before serving.
