10-Minute Steak and Noodle Supper
This is a wonderfully fast Chinese-inspired supper, ideal for a busy evening. Thin strips of rump steak are quickly fried with diced red pepper and pak choi. A stir fry sauce and ready-to-use egg noodles are then combined, creating a flavourful and satisfying dish that is ready to serve in only 10 minutes.
Ingredients
- 200g rump steak
- 200g pak choi
- 1 red pepper seeded
- 2 tbsp sunflower oil
- 100g/4oz sachet stir fry sauce (choose your favourite flavour)
- 2 x packs no-need-to-cook egg noodles
Method
- Remove any visible fat from the steak and slice it into thin strips. Slice each head of pak choi lengthways into four pieces. Cut the pepper into small squares.
- Warm the oil in a wok or pan. Cook the pepper for 1 minute. Add the beef strips and fry until browned. Introduce the pak choi and cook until it just begins to wilt.
- Add the sauce and 2 tablespoons of water, bringing the mixture to a boil. Mix in the noodles, warming them through and separating them until they are fully covered in the sauce. Serve immediately.
