10 Minute Chocolate Fudge Topping

⏱ 10 mins 🍽 1 3/4 Cups, 14 serving(s) 🏷 Dessert

This rich and decadent chocolate fudge topping boasts a wonderfully smooth, almost caramel-like quality. It requires only four ingredients and a mere 10 minutes of your time. Simply combine everything in a large pot and stir while it boils for about 8 minutes. The result is a luxurious sauce that's fantastic poured over ice cream or enjoyed straight from the spoon. Any leftovers will firm up in the fridge and can be gently reheated when needed.

10 Minute Chocolate Fudge Topping

Ingredients

  • 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup salted butter (or 1 stick)
  • 3 semi-sweet chocolate baking squares

Method

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a large pot and set it over high heat. Using a large pot helps to minimise splattering as the mixture boils. Bring the contents to a boil, then stir constantly for 8-10 minutes. Any leftover topping should be covered and stored in the refrigerator.
  2. The topping will firm up once chilled. To reheat, place it in a pot over medium-low heat, stirring now and then. Alternatively, you can microwave it, beginning with 30 seconds, stirring, and then heating in 10 second bursts until warm.
  3. One serving is equivalent to 2 tablespoons.
