#1 Hot Wing Sauce
This fantastic wing sauce is wonderfully simple to prepare and delivers amazing flavour. It is sure to be a hit with guests at your next gathering or with your family at home. The recipe yields a full gallon of sauce, combining red wine, hot sauces, barbecue sauce and butter for a rich, tangy result.
Ingredients
- 2 cups red wine
- 2 quarts Frank's red hot sauce
- 1 1/2 quarts barbecue sauce
- 1 tablespoon Tabasco sauce
- 1/2 lb unsalted butter
Method
- Bring the red wine to a boil.
- Stir in the barbecue sauce and Frank's Red Hot Sauce.
- Bring the combined mixture to a boil.
- Once it reaches a rolling boil, remove from the heat. Add the Tabasco sauce, then incorporate the butter.
- Adding the butter in smaller portions will help it to melt more easily.
- Allow the butter to melt fully and let the sauce cool down.
