Dr Pepper Ham Glaze
This incredibly straightforward glaze has been a favourite for years. It requires only three components and is ready in minutes. While cola can be used, Dr Pepper is often favoured for its sugar content. The result is a sweet, sticky coating perfect for basting a ham throughout its roasting time. You can easily adjust the ingredient quantities to achieve your preferred thickness.
Ingredients
- 0.5 (12 ounce) can Dr. Pepper cola or 12 ounces Coke
- 6 ounces orange marmalade (small jar)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
Method
- Combine all three ingredients in a saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Use this glaze to baste your ham repeatedly during its cooking time.
- Feel free to alter the quantities of each component to reach your desired consistency.
