Baked Chicken With Marinara Sauce

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 3 lbs fryer, cut up
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 (15 ounce) can marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
Method
- Rinse the chicken pieces under cold water and pat them thoroughly dry with paper towels.
- Mix the flour, salt and pepper together inside a paper or plastic bag.
- Place a few chicken pieces into the bag at a time, shaking to coat them evenly in the flour mixture.
- Arrange the coated chicken pieces in a single layer within a shallow baking dish.
- Dot the tops of the chicken pieces with small pieces of butter.
- Place the dish in the oven and bake at 450 for 25 minutes.
- Take the baking dish from the oven and pour the entire can of marinara sauce over the chicken.
- Sprinkle the dried dill and the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the sauce.
- Lower the oven temperature to 350 and return the dish to bake for another 25 minutes.
- Serve the chicken hot or allow it to cool and serve cold.
